Note: January 21, 1920 census, McIntyre Twp., Lycoming Co., PA: John Taber, age 27, he and parents b. PA, laborer - trackman Anna, wife, age 25, postmistress John was a son of George E. Taber and Helen Rathbun (d. 4/29/1936, Troy) of Ogdensburg. John announced in the fall of 1950 that he was moving out of Heylmun's Station in Marsh Hill and gas could no longer be purchased there. He moved his shop to Shore Acres and retired in 1972. His obituary stated he lived at 1104 Elm St., Montoursville, PA, and was born in Ogdensburg, had a foster son, Robert, and 8 grandchildren. He also had a brother, Ralph Taber, who lived in Troy. He was buried in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Montoursville, PA.
