PA "The Blossburg Advertiser", Fri., June, 1897: STULL REUNION - The members of the Stull family held their annual reunion in Rathbun's grove at Ogdensburg, Saturday, June 19, 1897. The day dawned bright and clear and proved all that could be desired. At an early hour people began to arrive, all well armed with lunch baskets, well filled, and let us say right here that the Stulls have always been noted for their hospitality, and this was never better proven than last Saturday, as everyone present can testify. Levi Stull of Union, assisted by Fred Ebersole of Ralston, acted as officer of the day. A fine program had been prepared for the occasion consisting of music by the Arnot band and Landon's Drum corps, hymns by a choir composed of members of the family from Arnot, recitations, orations and remarks by those present. Rev. Reese of Arnot delivered an oration in which he stated that the first of the Stulls to immigrate to Tioga county was Henry Stull, who came here more than fifty years ago, when our country was a comparative wildness. Mr. Stull's family consisted of five sons and two daughters, viz; Thos. Stull Sr. of Union township; Henry Stull Sr. of Carpenter; Levi Stull Sr. of Canton; Cornelius Stull of Union township; Mrs. Sanford Withey of Union township, and Lewis Stull and Mrs. Cosler, deceased. The host of relatives present at this reunion are descendants of these seven. Rev. Armstrong of Ralston also delivered an oration in which he paid high tribute to the respectability of this family. Special mention was should be made of Miss Myrtle Ebersole of Ralston, who recited in a charming manner and also of Miss Etta Stull, who assisted Miss Myrtle in a dialogue. At an early hour, the more sedate members of the party bade adieu to their relatives and the few invited guests and departed, leaving the more flippant ones behind, and soon the music struck up and the "light fantastic toe" was tripped on the platform till the shades of evening began to lower, when a shower came up and they were obliged to seek shelter. In the evening they repaired to the opera house and danced till midnight. Let us hope that the five members of the original family who were all present except Levi Stull, may live to attend many more reunions, as well as others. M. R. 1897 - July 21 - Wellsboro Agitator: Mr. Henry Stull, an old and respected citizen of Union township, died on the 14th instant after many months of suffering with his leg, which had been frozen. Owing to his advanced age his physicians concluded some time since not to amputate the limb. The funeral was held at the Stull church, and it was largely attended. 1897 - Aug. 13 - Fri. - "The Blossburg Advertiser": Henry Stull of Newelltown, Union township, Tioga county, died July 14, 1897, in the 80th year of his age.
