PA 1909 - March 31 - Wednesday - "The Agitator", Wellsboro - Union Happenings: Death of Mrs. Jane Harmon - Roaring Branch, March 30; Mrs. Jane Harmon, of Ogdensburg, died last week of a very short illness. She is survived by her husband and seven children, four brothers, and five sisters, one sister having preceeded her to the spirit world. She was a devoted mother and wife, and the large attendance at the funeral bespoke the esteem in which she was held by her neighbors. Rolly Irvin, a neighbor, offered prayer at the house and at the church, Rev. Mr. Bradley of Canton preached from Revalations, on the text, "for there shall be no night there". Six of her nephews were pallbearers - Francis and Jessie Ebersole, Zelevery and Melvin Hopkins, Grant stull, and Nathan Purdy. The flower girls were nieces of the deceased - Etta Stull, Helen Hopkins, Lottie Ebersole, and Edna Maley. Mrs. Harmon was 51 years of age and was a daughter of Henry Stull. The people from out of town who attended her funeral were John Stull and wife of Patton, PA, Harry Stull of Harrisburg, PA, Myron Purdy and wife of Galitzen, PA, Jessie Stull and family of Elmira, Mrs. Effie Aldrich of Samona, NY, Mr. and Mrs. John Booth, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bunn, and Mr. and Mrs. Evan Evans of Blossburg. 1909 - April 2 - Friday - "The Blossburg Advertiser": Mrs. Clay Herman died at her home in Ogdensburg on Thursday, March 25th. *Jane was buried in Church of Christ Cemetery, Ogdensburg* 1910 - census - Union Twp.: Clay Herman, age 54 James, son, age 22 Emerson, son, age 13 Ettie Champney, dau., age 33 Jennie V. Champney, granddaughter, age 14 Sadie M., granddaughter, age 9 1920 - Jan. 8/10 - census - Union Twp.: Clay Herman, father, age 66, widowed, he and parents b. PA *living with son Emerson Herman* 1939 - Nov. 10 - death of Clay Henry Herman at son's residence *Frank Herman Sr.*. Clay was buried in Church of Christ Cemetery, Ogdensburg.
