Note: Lottie was her nickname. Her given name was Charlotte Ruth. Lottie lived in Painted Post, NY and died two weeks after her 104th birthday. She was buried in Twin Hills Memorial Park, Fairfield Township, Lycoming County, PA. Lottie was living in Ralston, Lycoming County, when her brother, Jesse, died. She and her husband owned the Hertel's Dairy and Farm in Ralston and after her husband's death, she and her sons kept on with it for several years. Lottie attended Ralston High School Alumni Banquet, June 20, 1987, of which she was the oldest living graduate of the school. She was a member of the Lady Canton Rebekah Lodge #367 and a member of the Ralston United Methodist Church. Lottie could play the piano and loved to sing.
