Note: Obituary in "The Canton Sentinel", 26 Sept 1889; Ed Stratton of Elmira, was buried in the Ogdensburg Cemetery last Sunday. Services were held in the church there. Elder Shriner of Liberty officiated. Ed was a son of John Stratton who lives at Ogdensburg. In the same issue, his death was mentioned in the Roaring Branch news: The funeral of Edward Stratton, brakeman on the Northern Central Railroad, took place in Ogdensburg Saturday last.
