a. Note:   1843 - March 26 - Cornelius was born to Charles M. Dibble and Phebe Tuttle in Union Twp., Tioga County, PA. 1861 - Oct. 4 - Cornelius S. Dibble enrolled at Canton, PA, age 18. He was a private in Co C, 106th PA Vol, 2nd Div. He was discharged 10 Jun 1865, Harrisburg, PA. 1904 - July 23 - marriage of Cornelius S. Dibble and Emma J. Glassmeyer Owens in Picture Rocks, PA 1908 - July 7 - Book 133 - page 596, Deeds, Tioga County Courthouse, Wellsboro, PA; Oscar and Ida Stratton, Union Twp., to C. S. Dibble, of Picture Rocks, 34 acres, same being deeded to Oscar 4 Apr 1899 from Arthur G. and Jennie Middaugh. 1910 - April 21 - census - Union Twp. - Tioga Co., PA: Cornelius Dibble, age 67, m. 2 times, m. 6 yrs., farmer, owns property Emma J., age 47, married 2 times, m. 6 yrs., she and parents b. PA C. ?, son, age 8/12, b. PA Ernest C., son, age 5, b. PA Flora P. Owen, step daughter, age 16, single, she and parents b. PA 1918 - April 22 - Deed from C. S. Dibble and wife, Emma J., of Union Twp., to Mert C. Thomas, Jackson Twp., Lycoming County, 4 lots, a total of 94 acres, including the 34 acres bought from Oscar; in May, Mert sold the 34 acres to A. Dewey Irving. 1919 - May 14 - deed from Alice Harrington of Elmira Heights and Minnie Stull of Philadelphia, PA to Cornelius Dibble in Union Twp. for 75 square perches along Lycoming and Blossburg Road. 1919 - May 15 - death of Cornelius S. Dibble, buried in Church of Christ Cemetery, Ogdensburg. 1919 - Aug. 23 - The Decker-Dibble reunion was held at Cornelius's home. Emma was a daughter of John Glassmeyer. She was living in Picture Rocks when her 1st husband, Isiah Owen, died June 27, 1903, of Bright's disease while a patient at Williamsport Hospital and she was still living there when she married Cornelius. Emma was listed in the Frank Tabor household in the 1920 census for Canton Township but she was living in Ogdensburg 11 Apr 1925 when her son, Ernest married, according to his marriage application. 1935 - Oct. 3 - Thurs. - "The Canton Sentinel": Mrs. Emma J. Dibble, of Ogdensburg, died Sept. 27 at the home of her son, R. Owens in Ogdensburg. She leaves two sons, Owen of Norristown and Ernest of Ogdensburg; two daughters, Mrs. J. E. Nevel of Williamsport and Mrs. Flora Taber of Norristown; a brother, Phinas Glassmeyer of Picture Rocks. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon in the Ogdensburg Church and interment made in the nearby cemetery. Rev. Howard Krause officiated. Cornelius Dibble, m. Angeline Stratton. Cornelius's brother, William A. also served with Co C, 106th PA Vol. He was wounded in the hip at Antietam and died 11 Oct 1862 at Smoketown Hospital. His remains were taken home for burial. Charles M. Dibble's siblings were: Perry, Thomas, Patrick, Delight - m. David Langdon, William B., Noah, Lewis, Jehial, and James D.
