Note: "The Canton Independent-Sentinel" - Elwin A. Middaugh, age 77, of Holiday, Fla., formerly of Ogdensburg, Tioga County, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1981 in Florida where he and his wife have been living for the past eight years. Mr. Middaugh was born in Blossburg, on July 10, 1903, a son of Arthur G. and Jennie Stratton Middaugh. He was a retired toolmaker for the former Remington Rand Corporation, Elmira, and was a member of the American Machinist Association. He was also a member of a Baptist Church in Florida and a Mason. He is survived by his wife, the former Helen H. Hapeman; one son, Larry L. of Holiday, Fla; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara E. Brown of Vestal, N. Y.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial in Ogdensburg Cemetery. It is the family's request that contributions be made to a charity of one's choice in Mr. Middaugh's name. Local arrangements are by the Morse and Kleese Funeral Home, 40 N. Center St., Canton.
