Note: 1971 - Robert was living in Corning, NY, when his mother died. 2004 - Feb. 16 - Monday - The Leader - Corning, NY: Robert F. "Bob" Condon - Mr. Robert F. Condon, 83, of 1011 South Shore Drive, Boiling Spring Lakes, died Thursday, January 29, 2004, at his residence. His memorial service was held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 3, at Oak Island Presbyterian Church, where he was a member, with Rev. Michael Ward officiating. Mr. Condon was born August 22, 1920, in Elmira, New York, son of the late Charles B. Condon and Ida Eversole, and moved to Boiling Spring Lakes 10 years ago from Keuka Lake, New York. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he was a graduate of Cornell University and retired civil engineer with Corning Glass Works of Corning, NY. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Charlotte Condon of the home; 3 daughters, Sharron Hunter and husband Rev. James Hunter of North Pole, Alaska; Barbara Craig and husband, Ronald of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and Colleen Coss and husband, Terry of Rochester, New York; a son, Charles J. Condon and wife Therese of Lake Jackson, Texas; 4 grandchildren, Sara and Robert Condon, Emily Craig, and Colleen Novotny; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Oak Island Presbyterian Church, 1503 E. Oak Island Dr., Oak Island, NC 28465.
