1900 - June 11 - census - Union Twp., Tioga Co., PA:
Anderson Canis, b. October 1876, age 23, farm laborer (living with parents)
1901 - Jan. 1 - Anderson Canis and Mary "Polly" Cranmer were married but were later divorced - date unknown.
1902 - At the time of the birth of his daughter, Elizabeth, he was a farmer in Ogdensburg.
1930 - census - Barr Twp., Cambria Co., Anderson is living with his daughter, Genevieve Wiggins.
1942 - He applied for a delayed birth certificate on 14 Sept 1942 at the Tioga County Court House. He stated he was born 26 July 1871, Union Twp., his mother was born in Columbia and age 32 when he was born, his father was born in Germany, age 34 when he was born, his parents had 6 children with 3 living when he applied for his birth certificate. He also stated that Dr. Cleveland delivered him.
1950 - Nov. 7 - Anderson died in Miner's Hospital, Spangler, Cambria County, PA. He was a farmer and road supervisor in Cambria County.
1950 - November 30 - Thursday - "The Canton Independent-Sentinel":
Funeral services for Anderson Canis, 79, of Barnesboro, Pa., who died Nov. 7, were held Friday, Nov. 10, in the Long Funeral Home, Barnesboro. He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Lee, Hastings and Mrs. Genevieve Wiggins, Barnesboro, RD; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Rev. Vance Clark of the Hastings Methodist Church officiated and burial was in Union Cemetery, Hastings.
1974 - April - Mary "Polly" Cranmer Canis was buried in Union Cemetery, Hastings, Cambria County, PA.
Mary was a daughter of Alvah Cranmer and Carrie Sheddy. Alvah died in July of 1885 and Carrie married Charles Landon in September of 1886. Mary had a sister, Daisy Cranmer and twin half- sisters, Addie and Annie Landon. Landon info copied from Carrie's Bible. Mary was also known as Mary Landon rather than Mary Cranmer. Carrie Sheddy's daughter, Annie C. Landon, was born 12/30/1887, Tioga County, PA, died 11/29/1974, Towanda, buried Ogdensburg Cemetery, married William M. Brown.
