Brenda Jolene Blair, 36, of Roaring Branch, died June 28, 2001 at the Williamsport Hospital. Born April 30, 1965, she was a daughter of Joyce (Carey) and Joseph Blair. Brenda was employed by the Susquehanna Health Systems in Williamsport. Surviving are her parents; three sisters, Joanne Schmouder, Cynthia Shellenberger, and Catherine Winnie; three nieces and two nephews; two godchildren, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the Pepper Funeral Home, Canton. A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at the East Point Methodist Church with Pastor Joy Hulslander officiating. Burial will be private at the East Point Cemetery. The Wellsboro Gazette obituary included that she graduated from Liberty High School in 1983 and became a certified nurses assistant through Penn College in Williamsport; that she was a member of the East Point United Methodist Church, The Red Run Rod and Gun Club of Ralston, the Wheel Inn Club of Ralston, and she was an 18 year member of the Deer Crossing Detachment of the Marine Corps of Ralston. She enjoyed bowling and playing darts and had an exceptionably good alto voice.
It was heard through the community grapevine that she died during surgery at Williamsport Hospital.
