  1899 - Aug. 5 - Rathbun's Grove in Ogdensburg - Jack and Ida Rutty of Liberty attended the 2nd annual reunion of the descendants of Robert and David Stratton.

  1943 - Feb. 25 - Thursday - "Wellsboro Gazette": Union Twp. Couple Celebrate Their Golden Wedding - Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rutty celebrated their Golden Wedding on Monday at their home in Union township with 46 of their immediate family present to enjoy the wedding dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Rutty, who were married 50 years ago on Washington's birthday, at Watkins, N. Y. are in excellent health. They are the parents of 11 children, 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Born in Bradford county on March 27, 1860, Mr. Rutty at the age of 3, came with his parents to Liberty. Mrs. Rutty was born at Ogdensburg on February 1, 1874, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Canis. After their marriage they lived at Liberty for eight years, where they were engaged in farming; then moved to Spencertown, where they have made their home for the past 42 years. All 11 children, with members of their families were present to enjoy the day on Monday, as follows: Mrs. Archie VanSyckel; Mrs. John E. Preston of Grover; Mrs. Liston McNett, Mrs. John Grantier of Wellsboro; Mrs. Roscoe Wilson of Liberty; Harry Rutty of Elmira; Elwin Rutty of Paw-Paw, Michigan; Clyde Rutty of Canton; Fred Rutty of Ogdensburg and Donald and Murray Rutty at home.
  Jack was a son of Henry Harrison Rutty and Margaret Neal. Jack's paternal grandparents were Samuel Rutty and Polly Newell of Carpenter/Leolyn, Tioga Co., PA. His maternal grandparents were John Neal and Elizabeth Hartman of Liberty Twp., Tioga Co., PA.
  1947 - Nov. 4 - Jack died at the Beech Flats home of his daughter, Elsie VanSyckle. Elsie was caring for both of her parents in her home.
  1948 - June 7 - Ida Mae died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie VanSyckle, in Beech Flats, Bradford Co.
