a. Note:   1935 - Marriage license #19903, Bradford Co.: Archie Carey states he is age 27, born in Morris Run and living in Ogdensburg and is a miner; his dad was unknown, born in Wales; his mom is Bessie Carey Hall who was born in Gleason and living in Ogdensburg.
 Marjorie Jackson states she is age 21, born in Blossburg and living in Ogdensburg; her dad is Harvey Tracey Jackson who was born in Ogdensburg; her mom is Viola Clair Groover who was born in Ogdensburg. Marjorie and Archie were married by Rev. George W. Gilbert.
  1942 - "The Canton Independent-Sentinel" - Archie Carey, 34, of Ogdensburg, died at the Blossburg Hospital Friday night. He is survived by his wife; son Ronald and two daughters, the Misses Joyce and Joan, all at home; his mother, Mrs. William Hall, of Ogdensburg. Prayer services were held at the house Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. at the Ogdensburg Church of Christ. Rev. L. Z. Brown of Canton, officiated. Burial was in Ogdensburg Cemetery.
  1942 - Sept. 24 - Thursday - "Wellsboro Gazette" - Archie Carey, 34 of Ogdensburg, died at the Blossburg State Hospital last Friday. Surviving are his wife and a son, Ronald: two daughters, Joyce and Joan: his mother, Mrs. William Hall: five sisters, Mrs. Agnes Jerzak of Rochester, Mrs. Bessie Hadley of Blossburg, Mrs. Jane Lewis, Francis Hall and Gladys Hall of Ogdensburg: six brothers, Arthur Hall of Camp Croft, S. C., John Hall of Montoursville, Evan Hall, Ralph, Robert and Dean Carey, of Ogdensburg. Services were hald Tuesday at the Ogdensburg church, with burial in the church cemetery.
  Marjorie's father was Harvey Tracy Jackson, son of George W. Jackson and Phebe Jane Austin. "Tracy"s grandparents were Alfred Jackson and Harrriet Oakly who came from Goshen, Orange County, NY, about 1840 to Ogdensburg, Tioga County, PA. Marjorie's mother was Viola Gruver, daughter of Elmer Gruver and Clara Isadore Bowell. Marjorie's siblings were Clara, Dorothy, Gladys, George, Hazel, Galen, and Norman.
  1946 - Marriage license from Tioga County for Marjorie and Wayne; she states she is age 30; the rest of personal information is the same as previous information given for 1st marriage; Wayne Gardner states he is age 42, born in Covington, lives in Liberty Star Route, divorced his first wife on July 8, 1946. His dad is John Erving Gardner, born in PA and is deceased. His mom is Ella Butter, born in PA and is deceased.
  2001 - March 8 - "The Daily Review", Towanda, PA:
 Marjorie T. Gardner, 84, of Roaring Branch RD1, Liberty Township, PA, peacefully joined her lord early Tuesday morning, March 6, 2001, at the Williamsport Hospital.
 Born on April 2, 1916, in Ogdensburg, Marjorie was the oldest child of the late H. Tracy and Viola Groover Jackson. In earlier years she attended the Canton High School.
 Marjorie was a very loving and devoted mother. She enjoyed being a homemaker for her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren. Working in her vegetable and flower gardens brought her much pleasure, as did bird watching (especially her favorite, blue birds). She also was an avid collector of cow memorabilia.
 Mrs. Gardner was a faithful and active member of the East Point United Methodist Church and the East Point Ladies Aid. She was also a member of the East Point Pollyannas and for over 25 years a member of the Sebring Grange No. 1047.
 Marjorie is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Carol Carey of Canton; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Joyce and Joseph Blair and Joan and Roland Kehres, all of Roaring Branch, Susan and John Heyler of Morris, Pa., and Judith Bergenstock of Lock Haven, Pa; two stepsons, Gerald Gardner of Towanda and Milton Gardner of Florida; 12 grandchildren, Tonya Schmouder Inella, Tressa Schmouder, Kayla Kehres, Dillon Kehres, Cory Gast, Rachel Gast, Shawnna Shellenberger, Dale Shellenberger and Dustin Shellenberger; a special step-granddaughter, Shelby Fleming; three brothers, George, Galen and Norman Jackson, all of Roaring Branch; four sisters, Clara Cole of Roaring Branch, Dorothy McNett of williamsport, Pa., Gladys Doan of Elmira Heights, NY, and Hazel Chomenko of Lowman, NY; a sister-in-law, Rosie Gardner of Bodines, Pa., and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
 In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gardner was predeceased by her first husband, Archie Carey, and her second husband, Wayne Gardner.
 The family invites friends to call from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, March 9, at the Pepper Funeral Home, Springbrook Drive, Canton. The funeral and committal services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the East Point United Methodist Church with her dear friend and pastor, Joy Hulslander, officiating. Interment will follow in the East Point Cemetery.
 The family will provide flowers and suggests that those who wish to may direct memorials in Mrs. Gardner's memory to the East Point United Methodist Church, c/o RR1, Box 100, Roaring Branch, Pa. 17765.
