It is thought that Walt Disney attended the same school. Gene started his carreer as a printer; had a small printing press in his basement as a hobby. Worked for Shelby Craftco (Wallpaper book mfg.) as a foreman. Gene worked for Shelby Craftco in Chicago and later Joliet, IL. He was a foreman for the company.
