I think there is a mix up with 2 different men named Henry Campbell. I am fairly certain that the 1850 Cobb Co. GA census (Baits District), pg 130, lists (Jess) Henry Campbell and his wife Mary and is not the listing for (Newport) Henry Campbell. The children listed with Henry and Mary on this census are: 1) Sarah, age 10; 2) Caroline, age 5; 3) Martha A.,age 2; 4) William, age 1. This same family then appears on the 1860 Alabama Census in Cherokee Co., District 3, pg. 119. Henry Campbell is listed as age 40, farmer. His wife Mary is listed as age 38. The children in the household are: 1) Sarah, age 20; 2)Caroline, age 15; 3) Martha, age 12; 4) W. (boy), age 9; 5) Thomas, age 7; (my ancestor) 6) Harriett, age 2. They are all listed as born in Georgia. No Rebecca Tallulah is listed as a daughter. In 1870, Henry Campbell and his wife Mary appear on the Alabama Census in Cleburne Co., Edwardsville Post Office, pg. 350. Eight children are living with them: Sarah, Martha, William, Thomas, Harriett, Elen, John and George. Henry is still listed as a farmer and still born in Georgia. I have seen census listings for a Dr. Henry Campbell in Georgia while doing my research but he is not the same one on the 1850 Cobb Co., GA census that you reference. If you think we share the same Henry Campbell please contact me so that we can exchange information.
