Rutherford ************************************************************* QUIT CLAIM DEED RECORDED IN DEED BOOK 9 1/2 PAGES 406-7 BURKE, CO., GEORGIA Dated December 5th 1846 GEORGIA, BURKE COUNTY Know all by these presents, that I Rhesa Hatcher of the City of Jackson and County of Hinds,in the State of Mississippi the only son of Rhesa Hatcher, who was the son of Josiah Hatcher of said County of Burke and State aforesaid, by the first wife of the said Josiah Hatcher deceased, do hereby acknowledge to have received from Valentine Hatcher, John G. Hatcher, James M. Hatcher, Joseph A. Graves, in the right of his wife Emily formerly Emily Hatcher, Martha Hatcher, Victor LaTaste in right of his wife Elizabeth Ann formerly Elizabeth Ann Hatcher and Jeptha N. Hatcher, the sum of One Thousand Dollars. Deed recites that under date of September 12th, 1822 that a deed was made by Josiah Hatcher to his wife Sarah Hatcher, the then wife or said Josiah Hatcher and to the children of the said Josiah Hatcher and Sarah Hatcher therein above named four children and to the said Rhesa Hatcher the son aforesaid of the said Rhesa deceased as aforesaid and grandson of the said Josiah Hatcher. ******************************************************************* Burke County, Georgia Deed Book 9 1/2, p. 406-9 LDS Film 222778 State of Georgia Burke County} Know all men by these presents That I Rhesa Hatcher of the City of Jackson and County of Hinds in the State of Mississippi, the only Son of Rhesa Hatcher, who was the Son of Josiah Hatcher of said County of Burke & State first aforesaid, by the first wife of the said Josiah Hatcher deceased, do hereby acknowledge to have received from Valentine Hatcher, John G Hatcher, James M Hatcher, Joseph A. Graves, in right of his wife Emily formerly Emily Hatcher, Martha Hatcher, Victor Lataste in right of his Wife Elizabeth Ann, formerly Elizabeth Ann Hatcher, & Jeptha N Hatcher, the Sum of One Thousand Dollars which is in f__(?) consideration of all my right title or share in the Estate of my deceased Grand Father Josiah Hatcher Senior, whid said interest will more fully appear by reference to a Deed of Record in Burke Superior Court Clerk's office, bearing date September the twelfth (12th) Eighteen Hundred & twenty two and made & executed by the said Josiah Hatcher to Sarah Hatcher the then wife of the said Josiah Hatcher, and to the children of the said Josiah & Sarah the above named purchasers, and to the said Rhesa Hatcher the son as aforesaid of the said Rhesa deceased as aforesaid & Grand Son of the said Josiah Hatcher, and I the said Rhesa Hatcher by these presents & in consideration of the aforesaid Sum of One Thousand Dollars, the receipt of which is acknowledged do hereby alien, assign, transfer, quit claim & forever freely and fully release, unto the aforementioned purchasers, all my right title, claim or interest in and to all and every portion part of parcel of the property in said Deed conveyed together with all the increase, profits & emolements(?) already accrued or accruing whether the same consist of Lands, tenements or hereditaments, or of realty or of personality, this transfer to include that property real & personal which will be represented by the Administrator of the said Sarah Hatcher deceased the Grand Step Mother of the said Rhesa. And whereas suits in Law or in Equity may be instituted for the recovery of the property _____(?) conveyed by the Children or Grand Children of the aforesaid Josiah Hatcher; by his first Marriage now in the writ of said Suits being instituted and recovery had against the aforesaid purchasers, I the said Rhesa Hatcher do hereby bind & oblige myself to ref____ed(?) to them the aforesaid Sum of One Thousand Dollars with lawful interest.
