Signed William Bostick, Agatha Bostick Wit: Absalom Bostick, Chesley Bostick, Valentine [x] Hatcher, Jemima Hat__]torn] Recorded 17 August 1763 ***************************************************** 1775: (Pittsylvania Co Deed Book 4, pg 124)p.255, 256, 257 This indenture made This third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five Between William Bostick of the Province of North Carolina of the one part and John Caryile of the Colony of Virginia of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Bostick for and in consideration of the Sum of Sixty Pounds Lawful money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said John Caryile before in sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt where of the said William Bostick doth hereby acknowledge hath given granted Bargained sold Released & Confirmed and by these presents do give grant bargain release & confirm unto the said John Caryile on certain tract of Land containing Four Hundred and forty acres lying in Pittsylvania County being granted unto John Bostick Dec�d by patent bearing Date the 23rd day of May 1763 and bounded as follows To wit beginning at an ash where the county line crosses the Dan river thence along the said line cast three hundred and forty six poles crossing Greens Creek five lines to a Spanish oak thence new lines north one hundred and eighty two poles to a willow oak in a glade south sixty six Degrees West twenty two poles crossing a branch to pointers in Yate�s line thence on his line South forth degrees west forth four poles to Red Oak South Twenty three degrees Ninety four poles crossing a branch to a Red Oak South Seventy Degrees west one hundred and forty poles to a Spanish Oak on the River aforesaid thence up the said River as it meanders to the first Station.
