Surets. for both: Henry Rowe, William Dewidd &c[Geissendanner Records by Rev.Giessendanner He made Revolutionary Pension application for 109 days under Lt. Jacob Buxton in 1782. In 1775 he took up a memorial grant for 400 acres on Four Mile Branch, Granville County and increased his holdings there. He shared a line with James Wilson and lived near Robert Bradley. This seems to have been his home place, yet in 1799 he has title to a portion of the original family plantation located on the Savannah River at Matthews Bluff. His lines adjoined his brother, Bartlett, Jr., who also lived at Matthews Bluff. William was administrator of John Brown�s estate 1789.
