Note: Deed Record has her name as Nancy Ann Dec. 10. 1885, Warwick Advertiser obit: ANNA WISNER EDSALL. This aged lady, who died at Amity on Nov. 14th, in the 97 years of her age, was the relict of the late RICHAED B EDSALL who died at the age of 86, seventeen years ago. She was a member offamily of four, the two brothers of which WILLIAM R WISNER, of Warwick, aged 86, and Mr JOHN WISNER, of Newburg, aged 84 - survive her. Mrs. Edsall was possessed of remarkable vitality and retained full control of her facilities up to the hour of her death. The Fri previous she arose as usual and dressed herself unaided; and shortly afterward, while sitting on the bed, she expired. This aged couple were related through marriage three generations ago to the BURT family, who were among the earliest settlers of the town leaving their descendants still in our midst. Dec'd was mother of a large family, the surviving members of which are Mr BENJAMIN F and SIDNEY EDSALL of Amity; WILLIAM W. EDSALL and Mrs SARAH HARRISON of Vernon; Mrs GILBERT DREW of New Milford; Mr THOMAS S EDSALL and Mrs JOHN W. DREW of Edenville, and Mrs M C DREW of Warwick. Nov., 1885, Warwick Adv: Amity item - Last Tuesday, the 17th inst., the funeral services of Mrs. Anna Edsall, relict of the late Richard B. Edsall, aged 97 years, were held at the Presbyterian Church. Interment in Warwick Cemetery. The deceased had spent the majority of her years as a resident of this community, and at the time of her death resided with her granddaughter in the family of J. W. Utter. Orange Co. DREW $50 each...to ANN & WISNER chd of THOMAS EDSALL $50 each...to MARCELLUS & ADELE chd of my dau. HARRIET DREW $50 each...to grddau ANN RHODES 2 stoves, one sofa, 2 tables & one set of sofabottomed chairs...all the rest of my estate to my grdchd JOHN & EDWARD chd of RICHARD EDSALL. Witnesses: Lewis C. Layton, Amity Lewis G. Truesdell, Amity codicil: 6 March 1873 Since my will, RICHARD has died so the $1,200 will be divided...$50 each to my grdchd and sons of Richard excepting EDWARD, the second son, who I give $100...the remaining sum of $900 to my son BENJAMIN EDSALL for his life and at his death it goes to my g4randson MARVIN son of Benj. and if he dies before reaching 21, it goes to his mother...and whereas I also gave the rest, residue and remainder of my estate after certain legacies were paid to my two grdchd, JOHN & EDWARD EDSALL, chd of my son RICHARD, it is my will now that the sum of $100 be paid first to my grddau ELIZABETH EDSALL, dau of my son THOMAS and the sum of $100 to my dau CAROLINE DREW. codicil: 14 Oct 1878 since she had received interest and the money was in the Warwick Savings Bank, this money was to go to her grdchd, the sons of dec'd son RICHARD and it be equally divided Witnesses: Francis Walling David Benedict
