a. Note:   Obit: Mrs. Caroline Norton, 84 of Bangor, formerly of Waterville, died Tuesday at a local convalesent home after a long illness. She was the wodow of Lawris V. Norton. Born on April 10,1885 in Machias, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Flora(Davis) Colson. Mrs. Norton was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waterville. She is survived by two sons, Oscar Glatt of Newburgh and Carlton Sinford of LeMesa,Ca; five daughters, Mrs. Fern Vernard of Seattle. ,Wash., Mrs. Juanita White of Concord,NH., Mrs. Annie Moore of Riverside,RI., Mrs. Ellen Babkirk of Bath and Mrs. Marion Nettin of Hartford,CT.; three sisters, Mrs. Ezini Bowers of Machias, Mrs. Susie Albee of Machias and Mrs. Doris Trembley of Greenville; two brothers Philip Magee of Machias and Ralph Magee of Taunton,MA. 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and several neices and nephews. Friends may call at Brookings and Smith Funeral Home, 133 Center St., Bangor this afternoon and evening. Funeral services will be held at Brookings and Smith Funeral Home on Thursday at 2 p.m.
