Note: The marriage of Glenn and Nancy ended in a divorce in 1963 and the children were put up for adoption I was told. I have no idea what happen to them. Taken from the Daily New, Greenville, Mich.-Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1999 DOWNING, GLENN C.64 of West Orange Street, Greenville, passed away early Monday morning, Nov. 8, 1999, at Metron of Greenville. The son of GLENN A. and MARION BOROFF DOWNING, he was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Ionia. On March 26, 1965 in Ionia, he married the former NINA LELAND. A veteran of the Korean Conflict, GLENN served with the U.S. Army and was a life member of both the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 in Greenville and the Lester J. Sitts Veterans of Foreign War Post 5065 in Sheridan, in addition to being a member of the Moose Lodge in Lowell. An electrical groundman, he also was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers in Grand Rapids. Surviving are hes wife,NINA DOWNING of Greenville; his children, TERESA and GLEN HOWARD of Greenville, WADE and ESTELLE DOWNING, ED and PAM PARKS, KEVEN SCHULTZ and KIN LEPZINSKE, all of Lowell, TINA and PETE CUSHMAN of Gowen; one sister, JANET P. CLARK of Ionia; one stepbrother, MARVIN OAKLEY of Indiana; one stepsister, BEVERLY HSSELBACK of Trenton; and 14 grandchildren; Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, with the Rev. Jerry Jones, pastor of First Congregational Church officiating. Military honors, rendered by the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101 honor guard, will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of GLENN. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. The Brown-Teman Funeral Home, Greenville, is serving the family.
