He sold this land on April 26, 1809 to George Blair, it consisting of 320 acres on Caney Fork River and being a part of the 640 acre grant of Richard Shaffer. On June 23 1809, Benjamin bought 114 acres in Bedford Co., TN from Newton Cannon. This land was situated on waters of Sinking Creek and Powell's Creek - a branch of Duck River.
