DEASON Springdale, Oct 14 -- Funeral services for H. W. Deason, 71, who died Wednesday evening at his home in Lowell, where he resided many years, were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian church in Lowell, conducted by Rev. E. F. Austin, Baptist minister of El Dorado, Kansas. Special music was by the Graham quartette. Burial was in Lowell cemetery. Mr Deason was born in Rogers July 14, 1867 and was married to Telitha Jane Kendricks, Oct. 13, 1895. Surviving are his wife; two sons, S.A. Deason, Paducah, Texas and J.N.Deason of Great Bend, Kans; three daughters, Mrs Evelyn Johnson, Phoenix, Ariz and Misses Maggie Deason and Gladys Deason of the home; one brother, J.N. Deason of Rogers and two sisters; Mrs Rena Pace of Stonewall, Okla and Mrs Mahala Allen of Los Angeles, Calif. Loyd Morris of Tulsa was here to attend the funeral of his uncle, H.W. Deason, Friday. Mr and Mrs Nelson Deason and the Rev. Irvin Austin, who were called here by the illness and death of H.W. Deason, left for their homes in Great Bend and El Dorado, Kan., Saturday. Mr and Mrs Arden Deason and little son left for their home in Paducah, Texas, Sunday. H.W. Deason, 71 years old, died at his home here Wednesday night, following a week's illness. Mr. Deason, who was born at Rogers, was one of Lowell's oldest citizens, having resided here since 1904. He was married to Miss Janie Kendrick of this community in 1904. To them were born seven children. One daughter, Mrs. Lee Chance, and an infant are dead. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Johnson and Miss Gladys Deason of Phoenix, Ariz and Miss Maggie Deason of the home; two sons, Arden of Paducah, Texas, and Nelson, of Great Bend, Kan; six grandchildren, two sisters and one brother. Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church Friday afternoon. The Rev. Irvin Austin of El Dorado, Kan, a life-long friend of the family conducted the services. The music was furnished by a male quartet composed of T.H. Graham, Percy Williams, Harvey Graham and Virgil Withers, with Mrs. Harvey Graham at the piano. Burial was in the Goad Springs cemetery west of town, with the following pallbearers: T.B. Moody, J.B. Smith, Harley Wharton, A.G. Mays, Albert Robbins, and W.H.
