DEASON, W. C. - Letter from Eads, Crawford Co., Ark., December 12, 1893: Mr. Editor - We beg space in your valuable paper for the obituary of one of your subscribers and one of our best citizens. Brother W. C. Deason died of pneumonia Dec 5th, 1893 at 11 o'clock p.m. His sickness lasted two weeks when God called him away. He was laid to rest in a quiet little graveyard near his home. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. S A Cox, in the presence of a large congregation of sorrowing friends. Brother Deason has lived in our community three years and has lived a consistant christian life. He was married to Mrs Mary Clawson, a widow of 44 with four children, three years ago during which time peace and prosperity attended their union. The writer visited him during his sickness and can say I never saw a patient more tenderly cared for. A good doctor was called at the commencement of his sickness and visited him until the last.
Okay. We were on Forest Road 1725 also called Barkers Gap. If you are traveling south, Garrett Creek Cemetery would be on the right. Still traveling south, 3 miles, we were coming north, but on a curve in the road there was a sign for East Lands Farm, Eldon and Sheila Tinsley. I went up their driveway and the cemetery is in a circle of rocks in their yard.
