Note: BIOGRAPHY: Residence 1895 - Wilkinsburg, PA * * * The Reformed Presbyterian and Covenenter, p.295 has: Mrs. Martha Humes died of pneumonia at Wilkinsburg, Monday, January 7, 1895, aged 84. She was born in Lancaster co., Pa. in 1811, and removed with her father, Mr. John Hazlett in 1929 to Allegheny [City], where she was united with the church at the age of eighteen. In 1859 she was married to James Humes, who died September 31, 1871. For a number of years previous to her death, Mrs. Humes was a member of the Wilkinsburg congregation. She had a number of severe attacks of sickness during the past few years which she regarded as warnings that the end was drawing near. She expressed strong confidence in the sufficiency of the Saviors work, and assurance of her confidence in it. She was willing to go whenever the call should be given
