a. Note:   Thomas W. Metzger Post Date: 3/16/2004 LEWISTOWN — Thomas W. Metzger, 93, of 13 Grand Parkway, Lewistown, died at 6:45 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2004 at Valley View Haven, Belleville.
 Born July 19, 1910 in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Rev. C.A. and Sarah (Raebuck) Metzger. His wife, Jean (Madill) Metzger of Lewistown, survives.
 Also surviving are: children Mrs. Donald (Anne) Welton, Baker, FL and Mrs. Arthur (Susan) Greene, New York, NY; a sister, Mrs. Edna Hoffman, Chandler, AZ; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
 He was preceded in death by his first wife, Louise (Timbrell) Metzger, in 1973 and by 2 sisters.
 He graduated from Gettysburg College in 1932 with a B.A. in business.
 He had worked for the Lewistown Broadcasting Company from 1942-1978, retiring as president and general manager.
 He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, member and past president of the Lewistown Kiwanis Club, member of the Lewistown Country Club, Phi Gamma Delta and Lewistown Elks Club. He started the Hazelton 1932 Fraternity, NY Radio and TV Society, charter member and officer of the PA Broadcaster’s Association, Pittsburgh Radio Society, Radio Pioneers and secretary for Penn Wire TV Corporation. He was also a past board member of the Lewistown Trust Company.
 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown with Karen McCachren and Rev. Bruce Hinderliter officiating. Interment will be in Lind Memorial Cemetery.
 Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
