  Obituary:
 West Milford - Henry A. Dahl Jr., 38, of Macopin Road, died Friday morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paterson as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident August 4. Born in Jersey City, he was a resident there before moving to this township four years ago. Mr. Dahl was employed as a field manager at IBM in Newark the past 17 years. A funeral service will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Our Saviour Lutheran Church in Pompton Plains. Interment will be Monday in Cedar Heights Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Lynn; three sons, David, Craig, and Mark, and two daughters, Diana and Toni Lynn, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Edith Dahl of Waymart, PA; and two brothers, Karl of Jersey City, and Edward of Waymart, PA.

 He was a communications guy in the military with early computers. He wasn't in during a war. He got a job as the east coast manager at IBM, fixing the computers, trouble shooting.

  Henry (Tony) Anthony Dahl II (1937-1976) by Thomas Patrick Norton II (1920- ):
 He was a "fire control man" in the military. Afterward he was hired by IBM. He died in a car accident in 1976. He was coming home from a church function in his VW beetle on a rainy day. His wife drove seperately in the other car. Tony drove into a parked bulldozer that was facing backward with its blade facing oncoming traffic. He suffered massive head injury and died a few days later in the hospital.

 Uncle Tony was a manger for IBM. On August 04, 1976 he was driving his VW beetle home on a rainy night, after a church function. He was westbound on Route 46 in Little Falls, Passaic County, New Jersey when he hit a piece of construction equipment parked on the shoulder. It was facing traffic with its bucket raised. He suffered a left frontal depressed skull fracture with brain laceration, necrosis and hemorrage due to trauma.

 He was in the Navy and was a Fire Control Man, that was responsible for the electronics that was used to aim and fire the guns. He was so good at it that when he left the Navy IBM recruited him. He was a service man for the giant IBM computers.
