  Paul John Schwendel I (1941-1996):
He played baseball at Rutgers. He was an all county player, and later an all state player in high school. He had the highest batting average in NJ history at the time, it was over 400. His father was dissapointed that he didn't make it into the major league draft. He wanted his son, the star at Rutgers to be get into the major leagues. Pete would travel all the way down from Montville to watch his son in law play. Paul was active in an organization where they would play around the world. "The Christian Coalitian of Athletes" Two teamates from the Christian League made it into the majors. The went to Japan on one trip and went through all of Europe. Eventually he worked as a printer. There was a scrapbook that had all his clippings. His dad was a baseball player too according to Pete Van Deusen.
Note: when my dad would tell me these storys I assumed he was talking about his son. He ran a 4 color press
