Hugh Dennison settled in Rockbridge County, not too far from the Denison Homeplace. His daughter, Frances Dennison Custard Howell remembers the address being Raphine, VA and later it was changed to Fairfield, VA (Letter correspondence from Frances Dennison Custard Howell to Marian Scott (Scottie) Dennison, letter dated March 25, 1997.
He had six children:
