Letter Correspondence from Gennivee Dennison Carey to Marian Scott (Scottie) Dennison, letter dated January 6, 1997:
"Warren Denison died at the age of 19. He was a very frail boy - when he died in a hospital in Baltimore (Johns Hopkins) his father (Elliott) went there to bring home the body. All the way home he wondered how he would be able to carry the coffin from the train to the Homeplace. When he got off the train, who stepped off at the other end of the long train but Earnest (neither knew the other was on the train). So they carried the body home. A train would stop along the tracks most anywhere to let people on or off in that age and time."*
*This probably relates to the fact that Elliott only had one arm: Elliott Denison had only one arm, one arm was missing from the elbow down - cause: Osteomyelitis (so Vernie told me) (Vernie Burgess McCroy Dennison, wife of Walter Elliott Bruce Dennison).
