Note: tered here for recording purposes; also there is a logic that John could have been the father of Samuel. It is also not known for sure if this is the same John Denison whose will was proved 18 October 1824, but there is logic here as well, that this could have been the same person. Stephenson and Associated Families, Chapter 2, March 1, 2000, page 3: Marriage records of Augusta and Rockbridge Counties show ties between the Paris and Denison families including the marriage of John Denison to Martha Paris in 1811 and Samuel Denison to Nancy Paris in 1828 (Augusta Co., VA, Marriage Returns of Rev. Chesly Kenny). Stephenson and Associated Families, Chapter 1, March 1, 2000, page 2: A cursory research of the Denison family in Augusta County suggests that he (James A. Denison) descended from John Denison, whose will was proved 18 October 1824, and who was survived by sons Samuel, John and Daniel. Others may have done research on this family and its ties to the families Paris, McClung and Henderson.
