a. Note:   !BIRTH: 11 MAY 1786 Sleepy Creek,Berkeley,Virginia (birthdate calculated from headstone). !MARRIAGE(1): MRIN 176 to Silence Barnes-594 23 Oct 1805 by John Thomas, MG. Ref(1). !MARRIAGE(2): MRIN305 to Evalina E. SMITH-968, Clark County, Probate Court , Vol. 2, p 399, 24 Nov 1842: "William WEAVER & Eveline Smith. Notation, 'Parties of age, he is a widow- er'". She was supposedly born in Butler County Ohio 1815, but this needs further research to confirm. Comment: Clark County Vital Statistics need re-checking since compiler's notes give date of her 1st marriage as 24 Nov 1842 and 2nd - 12 Apr 1865. !DEATH and BURIAL: 29 JAN 1862 German Twp, Clark Co., Ohio - Rector Cem.,Champaign,OH - Ref(2). Row 1, B Sheet. Marker: "William WEAVER departed this life on the 29 day of Jan 1862 age 75 years 8 mos 18 days. His wife, Silence BARNES-594 who died 1 SEP 1842 marker is also there. !LAND: 1. Recorder's Office, Champaign County, Ohio May 1811, Book A, p 195, SW 1/4 S 12, Christopher, Rebecca & William WEAVER. (Note: Would be RINs 139, 144 and 141 respectively). 2. Deed Records, Clark County, Ohio, Vol S, p 546, S 18 Henry WEAVER to William WEAVER. (RINs 1816, 141). 3. Clark County Court of Common Pleas, Vol 32, p 4, 4 Feb 1864, cites a petition against Elizabeth Caroline WEAVER- 1766, and other heirs of William WEAVER, deceased. The Sheriff sold the lands at public auction on 11 June 1864 for $11,350 (subject to the dower estate of Eveline WEAVER, widow). !LAND(2): DEEDS - Mad River SW1 Sec 12 T4 R11 Date Type 05/08/1811 wd 761 Acres part SW1 Chris Weaver to Wm Weaver A-195 10/23/1830 wd pt SW1 Wm Weaver to Reuben Critchfield J-106 03/10/1844 wd 44 poles part SW1 Wm Weaver to Benj. However, the other is not probably not William-141 since that census was compiled from 1800 Mason County tax lists and he would have been only 14 years of age in 1800. Too, his father, Christopher-139, was supposedly in Scott County, Kentucky before migrating to Ohio. It is, nevertheless, possible that Christopher stayed in Mason County with his brothers, William-173, and Henry-1816 for some time before continuing on to Scott County on the trail of emigration westward from Limestone. Christopher-139 was in Scott County in 1800 according to census. !CENSUS(2): 1850 - German Township, Clark County, Ohio, House 362 William 64 VA (1786) RIN141 Evaline 35 OH (1815) " 968 (second wife) Eli 38 OH (1812) " 970 Margaret 36 OH (1814) " 978 Mary J 12 OH (1838) " 831 (child of Eli & Margaret) Isabel 11 VA (1839) " 715 (surname BERRY - connection not known) Joseph 10 OH (1840) " 1807 (child of Eli & Margaret) Samuel 6 OH (1844) " 1759 Hannah 1 OH (1849) " 1706 (Samuel and Hannah would be the only children listed that would be children of William and Evaline.) !REFERENCE(1): Marriage Records, Probate Court, Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio 1805 to 1865. The Sher- iff sold the lands at public auction on 11 June 1864 for $11,350 "subject to the dower estate of Eveline WEAVER, widow". While no other reported child (Elizabeth-1766 m. James Montgomery JONES-669) in the family had the name Elizabeth, William-141 did have a granddaughter, Elizabeth-717, the daughter of his son, John Cane WEAVER-143; she was born about 1833. Since she would have been about 34 years of age in 1864 and still had the WEAVER name, she was probably unmarried, staying in Clark County after her parents moved to Clinton County, Indiana. This is pure conjecture.
