James Lynch, the third, son of James Lynch and grandson of James Lynch, served in the war with Spain. !MARRIAGE: To Charles H PENDERGAST-14, Salina, Onondaga, New York 5 Nov 1856. Mr. Hackett, of St. John's Catholic Church, Mr. Charles H. Pendergast, Baltimore, to Louise J.(sic), daugh- ter of James Lynch, Esq., of Syracuse. (P.2,C.6. Nov. 7, 1856 S.D.C.) !DEATH and BURIAL: 7 Jul 1920 at the New York Foundling Hospital where she made her home. Burial in Pendergast lots Section H, #543/544 at New Cathedral Cemetery, Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, Baltimore Co. Maryland 21219 . When this compiler visited the cemetery in 1982, he found the headstones had toppled from their bases. He had them repaired and had the inscriptions reported by the Director of the cemetery. She lived her last days at the New York Foundling Hospital under the care of the nuns who ran the establish- ment. His Grandmother MC ANERNEY, daughter of Louise L. LYNCH was a trustee of the hospital. His grandmother McANERNEY, her daughter, was a Director of the institution.
