Note:   !BIRTH: Probably New Jersey, but not known for sure. !DEATH: Daviess County, Indiana !SOURCE(1): Don DuBois, 1700 SE 146th Ct, Vancover WA 98684, ltr 15 SEP 1987 which will be found in this compiler's CHAPMAN file folder. He is a direct descendant and a family genealogist. !REMARKS(1): Attempts to reach Don DuBois has since been unsuccessful since mail has been return marked "Moved - no forwrding address." !NOTE: WEAVER Burials Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio list to December 1934 has the following: "Nancy d/o William & H. Chapman w/o Henry 6 Apr 1786 Ky - 21 Nov 1849" This indicates the name " Hannah" is probably correct, but the birth place "Ky" is contradicted by the inscription on the Weaver Mausoleum which clearly states New Jersey. Too, Kentucky had not yet become a state in 1786. !ANOMALY(1): That daughter Nancy was born in New Jersey is attested to by informa- tion on her grave in the WEAVER Mausoleum in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Champaign County, Ohio. However, Billy Chapman was probably the man who sold the Sleepy Creek land in Virginia to Christopher WEAVER-169. See notes B169 and B145 for details as known by this compiler. All are his direct ancestors.
