In case you haven't found the info you need by now, I will answer what I can. Yes, we are probably related because my family came from Ross Co. Ohio. VA m.[MRIN95] Sarah NICHOL [5 Jan 1832 I have info on family members, mostly from Ohio if you want it. I hope this filled in some blanks for you. There has always been "hear say" that Thomas was our great great granddad, but I have found no proof of this at all. There are absolutely no records that tell who Elizabeth was married to. Do you have proof of your Thomas? If so, that is the info I've been looking for for twenty years! (But if you got it from Olive Smith's book, it was hear say, info given by my father and not documented info.) She has many things wrong in her book. I wrote her with info of Robert's other wives and she refused it saying her line was correct and complete! Thank you for writing. I hope that you can make this out. Write again. 'Candy BELL (BREEDLOVE) ************************************************* The following was copied from an Email from Patricia Gregory <PGREGORY@surf-ici.com> 18 Jul 1999 to this compiler: Obituary: Pheriba, youngest child of Bales and Patia Igoe Breedlove, was born near Urbana, Ohio, on April 5, 1843, and died at her home in Mooresville, Ind, on April 10, 1926, aged 83 years and five days. She was united in marriage to Amos Stafford on February 21, 1861, and for more than 65 years, they traveled the road of life together. Mr Stafford preceded her to the Great Beyond just fourteen days, having answered the death summons on March 27. No children of their own ever came to bless heir home but they made it a haven of rest for many orphans who's lives have been influenced by the loving kindness that came from that great mother heart. Some of these returned this great kindness in the loving care for Mr & Mrs Stafford in their declining years. Mrs. Stafford united with the Christian Church when a young girl but for many years had not been able to attend church services. She was also a member of the Easter Star. Mrs. Stafford was a remarkable woman in many ways. During her entire life she maintained a keen interest in the affairs of the world and could ably discuss any question of the day. No caller ever went from her home without a feeling that life was a little more worth living and that they were a little better for having passed her way. She so often said that she had the best neightbors in the world. Her neighbors thought the same of her. During her last sickness she was often heard quoting passages of scripture or singing snatiches of sacred songs. Mrs. Stafford was a living companion, a true friend, and a kind neighbor. (NOT sure which local paper this was from but dated 21 April 1926.) Stone says only 1843-1926 in Mooresville Cemetery, Brown Township, Morgan Co, IN. One card record for Amos Stafford says born 4 March 1838 near Martinsville. died 23 March 1926; age 88 years 23 days. Parents Grant & Mary Stafford, pioneers of Morgan County. Father, Grant, taught the first school ever opened in Brown Township. Married Phoebe Breedlove (sic) of Centerton 21 February 1861. No children. Joined Brooklyn Christian Church in 1869. Belonged to the Masonic Lodge and moved to Mooresville 24 years ago. This was in the Mooresville Times Friday, April 9, 1926.
