A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 AM, November 23 with the Rev. Dr. Harold Bumpus as Celebrant. She was born, Lovis Lee Bryant, May 3, 1917, Siluria, Alabama, daughter of the late Thomas Luther Bryant and his wife, the late Alma Alsaide Satcher. Weaver, Jr. Aug 17, 1968 St. Jude's Catholic Church, Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia. She was a convert to Catholicism, was Confirmed March 16, 1970, at St. Jude's. Was baptized Easter Eve by the late Rev. Paul Bourne, a Trappist monk and longtime friend of her husband at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit at Conyers Georgia. She received her first Holy Communion on the main altar of the Monastery Chapel at midnight Mass on Easter Sunday - not only the first person to receive at that Mass, but also the first female ever admitted to the main altar of the Monastery. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Prior to her marriage to Mr. Weaver, she was a business woman active in radio and TV as well as the advertising agency business in Atlanta. In World War II, she served as a SPAR in the U.S. Coast Guard assigned to Coast Guard Intelligence in New York City. Was discharged as a Yeoman 2nd Class. Was a member of the American Legion Post 246 and of the South Bay Genealogical Association. In addition to her husband, she leaves a brother, Thomas L. Bryant, Jr.of Adamsville, Alabama. Interment will be in West View Cemetery, Atlanta, Georgia.
