  OBITUARY
 (Published in the Alliance Weekly in one of the March issues of 1945)
  NEWBERRY - On March 7, 1945, Rev. W. W. Newberry passed away at the Home for the Aged in Carlisle, Pa. Born in Bland, Virginia, in 1867, Mr. Newberry became associated with The Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1897, as pastor of the work in Chattanooga, Tennessee. During his long and fruitful ministry he served as a member of the Board of Managers, Superintendent of the Northwest District, President of Simpson Bible Institute, and held pastorates in Cranford, Plainfield, and Newark, NJ, Scranton, Pa, Brooklyn, NY, and in California and Virginia. Of late years, he has been an evangelist of the Western District, and also worked in Birmingham, Alabama.
  In spite of his advancing years, Brother Newberry remained active in occasional service. He is survived by his wife, nee May M. Anderson, who lives in the home in Carlisle, and two sons and two daughters, one of whom is Mrs. C. D. Holton of our West China Mission.
