Note: Julia Belle Wilson's younger brother Clyde and her survived that flash flood in Mitchell that killed their mom Nancy and thier brother George
and Autie.. And one other. Samuel Wilson was away on business.. They were
living at the ranch at the base of the Painted Hills in Mitchell..
gramma was 10 at the time and Clyde was younger..
(Clyde was saved in the flood by holding on to 2 dogs that swam him to safety.)
I have a picture of Clyde standing by his barbers chair in Fortuna.. He was a vet of WW1. He
is buried at Newburg Cemetery where dad and Charles are buried.. He
