She disembarked in Quebec at the Port of Quebec on July 31,1926. Although Maria was born in Springburn she was raised in Belfast as evidenced by her siblings birth records on file in Belfast and the 1911 Census of Belfast. Maria traveled on the ship "SS Regina" which is White Star dominion. Michael Monaghan was traveling with John Francis Beatson at the time they immigrated to Canada. I am unsure of the exact date they left Canada for NJ I do however know that their only American born child Robert was born nine months after their arrival on July 4,1928. This information puts them arriving in Kearny on October 4,1927. He became a naturalized American Citizen in 1932. Per Maureen Monaghan Ryan only her dad Michael came to the US his parents and siblings stayed in Ireland.
