Note: George and his brother Samuel were confirmed at Stone Valley church Apr. 1824 His brother, John was confirmed there in 1830 and his sister, Catherine in 1836. George, Samuel, and John communed at that church.
On 24 April 1847 George purchased land in Lower Mahanoy Twp. From Jesse Snyder.He lived there in the 1850 census. In 1860 he resided in Berrysburg and in 1866 he died in Uniontown (Pillow), Pa..
1860 24 Mar. land was purchased in Lower Mahanoy Twp. from J. M. Groff and Mary, his wife ,for $1125.00.
In the 1860 census he was retired and lived in Mifflin Twp. Dauphin Co,. Postoffice: Pillow, Pa.
His will was probated July 1866 in Dauphin co. He mentions his wife, Esther, and youngest daughter, Esther. He mentions four children but doesn"t name them. Their names are found in the 1850 census. John Cratzer and daughter Eshter were executors.
