Notes
a. Note:   Abigail ___?___ married Richard "The Emigrant" Stockton.
There is absolutely no evidence that Abigail's maiden name was Bloomfield. There is absolutely no evidence that Abigail's maiden name was Hunt. There is absolutely no evidence that Governor Richard Hunt had a daughter named Abigail. There is absolutely no evidence that Abigail was married to a Mr. Bloomfield before she married Richard Stockton.
Researchers who show her maiden name as Bloomfield are just GUESSING but it presenting it as FACT. Researchers who show her maiden name as Hunt are just GUESSING but it presenting it as FACT. Researchers who show Governor Richard Hunt had a daughter named Abigail are just GUESSING but it presenting it as FACT. Researchers who show Abigail was married to a Mr. Bloomfield before she married Richard Stockton are just GUESSING but it presenting it as FACT.
Although Abigail is sometimes shown as Abigail (nee Bloomfield) Stockton or Abigail (nee Hunt) Stockton, there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that either of those maiden names are correct. Abigail is sometimes shown as born in 1630. Richard and Abigail (nee ___?___) Stockton's last child, Elizabeth, appears to have been born in about 1682. If Abigail was born in 1630 she would be 52 years old in 1682. It appears that Abigail was born c.1640.
The last child of Richard "The Emigrant" Stockton and Abigail (nee ___?___) Stockton was Elizabeth who married William Budd Jr on 2 Dec 1702. Budd family records show Elizabeth as born 8 Mar 1682, and the 1709 census of Northampton, Burlington County, New Jersey, shows Elizabeth (nee Stockton) Budd as 26 years old, so born about 1683. It appears that Elizabeth (nee Stockton) Budd was born in 1682 or 1683.
