Note: Janet S. Moon, 88, of Orangeburg, SC, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Regional Medical Center. She was the wife of Paul H. Moon, with whom she enjoyed over 65 years of marriage.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at St. Andrews United Methodist Church in Orangeburg. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall after the service.
Janet was born in Bucyrus, Ohio, the daughter of the late Floyd A. Smeltzer and Mable Baker Smeltzer. She was an active member of St. Andrews United Methodist Church, where she was active in the Women's Circle.
Survivors include her husband of the home, one daughter, Carol Ann Moon of Richmond, VA; two sons, James Moon (Pam) of Woodstock, GA; and Dr. David Moon (Cindy) of Lake City, SC; one sister, Dorothy Nist of Kenmore, NY; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
