a. Note:   Edna M. Lamson Jan. 4, 1916 -- June 20, 2003
  Edna M. Lamson, 87, of 600 W. State St. Fremont, and formerly of 703 South St., died early Friday morning at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee.
  Mrs. Lamson was born in Fremont to the late Cecil and Minerva (Hoppe) Moon, and in 1937 married Benjamin P. Lamson. He preceded her in death in 1951.
  Mrs. Lamson was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and its Alter Guild and choir; was treasurer of the Food Pantry for 20 years and was a member of Share & Care, Kings Daughters, AARP and YMCA "Swimnastics."
  She ran the YMCA's Saturday Bingo, was the YMCA Volunteer of the Year for three different years and was a member of the Sandusky County Senior Center where she received the center's Hall of Fame Award. She also received the Exchange Club's award of the Book of Golden Deeds in 1987 for "Mother Provider Teacher."
  Mrs. Lamson was a volunteer worker for the former Quality Care Nursing Home. And she worked at the former Woolworth for 37 years, as well as the H&M Bakery.
  Mrs. Lamson is survived by a daughter, Jan (Patrick) Wadsworth of Green Springs; a son, Walter "Gus" (Amy) Lamson of Fremont; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four step grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren; a sister, Mildred Willey of Fremont; and a brother, Paul Moon of Orangeburg, S.C.
  Along with her parents and husband, Mrs. Lamson is preceded in death by her son, Charles Lamson and a brother, Arthur Moon.
  Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Keller-Ochs-Koch Funeral Home, 416 S. Arch Street.
  Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
  Burial: Oakwood Cemetery.
  Memorials: May be made in Mrs. Lamson's name to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, The Food Pantry, Care & Share or donor's choice.
