Lorain --- Mrs. Helen S. West, 64, of 2622 Apple Ave., died in her home yesterday at 10:30 a.m. following a long illness. She had lived in Lorain 60 years coming from Bellaire, Ohio.
Mrs. West owned and operated a beauty parlor in her home for 40 years until her recent illness. She was a member of the First Evangelical United Brethren Church and the YLA of the church.
Survivors besides her husband, Norman, are a daughter, Mrs. Anker Christensen, LaPorte; a son Gerald, Lorain; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Anna Keister, Lorain, Mrs. D. J. Fox, Elyria, and Mrs. Marie Taylor, Berlinville, and a brother Harry Hopp, North Ridgeville.
Friends will be received in the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home where services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Rev. Paul Kirk will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
