Morgan, 71, of 1605 W 39th st., Lorain, an engineer on the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad for 50 years, died yesterday at 9:45 a.m. at St. Joseph Hospital, Lorain. He was ill three weeks. Mr. Morgan lived in Lorain 55 years. He retired in 1968. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 552, Lake Erie Shrine and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Surviving are his wife Stella; two sons, Donald of Lorain and Roger of Vermilion; two step-daughters, Mrs. Emmett (Dorothy) Callan of Sandusky and Mrs. Calvin (Marjorie) Yeager of Lorain; two step-sons, Robert and William Beatty, both of Sandusky; eight grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; a brother, Leo of Lorain and three sisters, Mrs. Ida McLord of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Cassie Cole of California and Mrs. Laura Lee Masters of Kentucky. Friends will be received today from 7 to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Reichlin-Cooley Funeral Home where a masonic service will be conducted tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Kirk officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
