a. Note:   Hi! I was just looking into some of the branches of my tree and happened upon Casper Schimmele - who married Metha Wright, the sister of my great great grandmother Sophia Wright. Metha had married Henning Johnk II, earlier and had 5 children with him (Emil, Rudolph, Leonard, Elva, and Lula). According to the 1900 census, she married Casper Schimmele in 1899 and had her five children listed as step children. Evidently she divorced Henning Johnk II, sometime in 1897 or 1898. In the 1900 census Henning was in the Alliance township of Clay County listed as 'D' for divorced and worked as a Foreman on a farm.
