  Hello,
I saw your family information on Ancestry.com I particularly noticed Ferdinand Zuehlke and his family's information. I have always wondered if Ferndinand might be linked to my family. My great-great-grandfather, August Benter was married to Wilhelmina Zuehlke. Both August Benter and Ferdinand immigrated to Wisconsin in August of 1847 and both of their entries were through the port of New York. Both of their naturalizations were on Mar 20, 1857. Certainly, both of these dates could be a coincidence because I'm quite sure large groups of Germans immigrated at the same time.
I can't put my finger on it right now but somewhere I had a census report listing any older woman by the name of Maria Zuehlke living with August and his family. I have always thought that this could have been Wilhelmina's mother? In the farm next to August Benter and family was Ferdinand and Alwina Zuehlke' farm. A coincidence that these families lived right by each other? Somehow, I just feel that there could be connection?
Wilhelmina Zuehlke was born July 31, 1828 in Pommern (German name - also Pomerania), NE Province of Germany. Ferndinand was born c. 1831 or 1834, depending on whether his naturalization papers or a census report on him was correct. August Benter was born in Lange, Pommern, Germany. Could Wilhelmina and Ferdinand have been siblings?
I would really appreciate hearing from you re Ferdinand and his family?
  A fellow family researcher,
