Note: 1. Moved to Northwestern Missouri, in about 1850, according to "The Needels Family of Fairfield County, Ohio," by Theodore Stanton Needels (unpublished). 2. The 14 January letter from Roger E. Needels gives the name as John J. Needels.
3. Kathy Gaines' e-mail of 24 March gives John's middle name as Power, and spells then name Needles, as do the FTM User Home pages of Ken and Cristopher Grantham.
4. The US Census for Gentry County, MO, for 1880 confirms that John and his family were living there, at that time, although the name is spelled Needells (Source: ID #1AO).
