Notes
a. Note:   Probably immigrated through Trondheim, around 1883 at the age of 19, but no facts to support this. Supposedly farm he lived on was Kampli in Noway. He name was Tollovson when he emigrated, and changed to Thompson after he had settled in Cumberland, Wisconsin.
Born on a farm called Valmos, or Valmaas, very near the Swedish border. The barm from Valmos or Valmaas was taken apart, numbered, and reassembled at a museum in Mosjoen.
