a. Note:   RICHARD L. BAKER BREWER - Richard L. Baker, 70,
 died Aug. 8, 1997, at a Bangor hos-
 pital. He was born in
 Brewer, April 15, 1927, the
 son of Richard L. and Doris
 R. (Libby) Baker. Richard served in
 Germany in the U.S. Air Force and
 was employed at Eastern Fine Paper
 for 45 years. He was a longtime
 member of the Brewer Eagles Club, Isaac E. Clewley vfw Post No. 4917
 of Brewer, Anah Temple Shrine of
 Bangor, and was past president and
 a member of the Bangor Singles
 Club. Surviving are six children,
 James Baker of Rockford, Ill., Janet
 Baker and her husband, Thomas
 Constantine of Bangor, Julia Gonya
 and her husband, Sherman, of
 Charleston, Joseph Baker of Ban-
 gor, Ethel Ann Dubay and her hus- band, Randy of East Corinth, and
 Clarence Bishop of Dover-Foxcroft;
 11 grandchildren, several brothers,
 sisters, nieces and nephews.
 Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday at
 Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home, 69
 State St., Brewer. In lieu of flowers,
 those who wish may make contribu-
 tions in his memory to Cancer Care,
 Eastern Maine Charities, P.O. Box
 404, Bangor 04402-0404.
