Note: Information received from Dorothy Dodds Meierotto Samuel Sayer married Mary Elnora Dodds 3-31-1852 in Ft. Madison, Lee County, Ia. Two children were born to them in Lee County, a Son Elvadas born in 1853 and a daughter Ida born in 1856. The family moved to Missouri sometime between 1856 and 1859. Two more children were born to them in Missouri, Emma b. 1859 and David b. 1861. Samuel was born in Ohio and Mary Elnora was born in Ill. Mary's daughter Ida married a Thompson and they lived in LaBelle, Mo. in 1907. Samuel, Mary and children were found on the 1860 and 1870 census for Lewis County, LaBelle, Mo. Mary lived to be 99 yrs old. So she probably died somewhere around 1933 or 1934. Deed Bargain and Sale from Mary Elnora Sayer, a widow to Dade D. Sayer dated 1928 filed with the Savings Bank in La Belle, Mo. Dated Oct. 24, 1928 at 9 o'clock and 20 minutes a.m. Recorder Wallace Veatch. State of California County of Los Angeles on the thire day of June in the year nineteen hundred and Twenty-seven, befor me, Mary A. Lloyd, a Notary Public in and for said County, residing therein, duly commissioned and sworn, personally appeared Mary Elnora Sayer, sometimes know as Nora Sayer, known to me to be th person whose name is subscribed to the within instrument and acknowledged to me that she executed the same. Bargain and Sale Deed Sayer This indenture, made the Third day of June in the year of our Lord ninteen hundred and twenty seven Between Mary Elnora Sayer, sometimes known as "Nora Sayer", a widow, of 1309 South Manhattan Place, Los Angeles, California, the party of the first part and Dade D. Sayer, of Los Angeles, California, the party of the second part. Witnesseth: That the said part of the first part, for and in consideration of Love and Affection; and the sum of Ten and No/100 Dollars gold coin of the United States of America, to her in hand paid by the said party of the second part, the receipt whereof acknowledged, does by these presents, grant, bargain and sell, convey and confirm, unto the said party of the second part, and to his heirs and assigns forever, all those certain lots piecsor parcel of land situate, lying and being in the County of Lewis, State of Missouri and bounded and particularly described as follow, to wit All of Lots Six and Seven (6&7) in Block Two (2), of Sayer's First Addition to the Town of LaBelle, as shown by the plat thereof, in the office of the County Recorder of said county. Also Fourteen (14) acres, more or less, in the North-West Quarter of the North West Quarter (N.W. of N. W. ). of Section Four (4). in Township Sixty-one. (61) Range Nine, (9) according to the Government survey. Together with all and singular the tenements, hereditament, and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof. To Have and to Hold all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtenances, unto the said party of the second part ant his heirs and assigns forever.
